Every day at midnight UTC a new set of five puzzles appears, the same five for everyone. Six puzzle types rotate through the slots: equity, pot odds, hand reading, ICM, push/fold and finding the nuts. Each day uses five of them, so the mix shifts from one day to the next. Answer a puzzle, see whether you were right and why, then move on to the next. Each answer also updates your rating for that puzzle type, which starts at 1,500. Finish all five and you get a grid of your results to share, which gives nothing away about the answers, plus a countdown to the next set.

Answer: Hand B. Hand A’s best five cards are all on the board: kings and eights with an ace kicker, so the queen and jack never play, and there is no ten for a straight. Hand B’s pocket nines outrank the board’s eights, making kings and nines with the same ace kicker, which wins.
