Why drill pot odds specifically
The pot odds formula itself is one line: required equity = bet / (pot + bet). Knowing the formula and being able to run it in eight seconds while the clock is on you are different skills. This drill strips away the calculator and runs the same calculation across ten different pot-and-bet shapes until the division stops feeling like arithmetic and starts feeling like a reflex.
How to use the score
A guess within 2 percentage points of the exact answer counts as correct — tight enough to catch a real error, loose enough that you’re rewarded for estimating fast rather than reaching for a calculator. If you’re missing scenarios with an all-in bet (pot and bet roughly equal), that’s usually where the mental arithmetic gets hardest — worth a few extra reps.
