At four big blinds the two ranges are almost exactly the same size, about three hands in four each, and the big blind is in fact calling slightly more often than the small blind jams. That surprises players who expect the jammer to be the wide one. The difference is the price: the big blind already has a quarter of its stack in the pot and closes the action, so it can call off with anything holding a fair share of the pot, while the small blind has to fold its weakest offsuit and small suited hands. Fold equity has only just begun to matter.

These ranges are solved here rather than copied from a published chart. The solver uses the exact all-in equity of every pair of hands rather than a simulation, and the solved ranges are checked so that neither player could gain as much as a hundredth of a big blind by playing any single hand differently. Hands on the edge of a range are close to break-even either way, so they are where charts from different solvers most often disagree, and where a small difference costs least.
