Counterfeit

When a community card pairs a rank you do not hold, so a new pair appears on the board that any single opponent card can turn into trips, quietly devaluing a hand that looked safe.

Counterfeiting bites hardest when you hold two pair made from both hole cards and the board pairs a rank above your lower pair: your own hand does not change, but any single opponent card of that new rank now makes trips and beats you. A card that never touches your hole cards can still quietly cost you the pot, which is what makes it easy to miss.
