Merged
A range or bet that keeps its medium-strength hands in the betting line rather than checking or folding them out, the opposite of a polarised one.
A merged bet is small and wants company: it keeps worse hands calling so a medium-strength holding gets paid by hands it beats. That is the opposite instinct to a polarised bet, which folds the middle out and leaves only the very best hands and the bluffs. A small bet is more likely merged, a real hand betting for thin value that does not fold out much and gets paid by less.
